Burl Yew Double Tea Caddy C 1840. A majestic sarcophagus shaped double tea caddy in burl yew complete with mixing bowl. All round the caddy has boxwood edging which contrasts well with the darker yew. The working lock has a boxwood oval escutcheon. At the sides there are two wooden round handles. The caddy stands on four bun feet. Inside there are two removable compartments with hinged lids. This is a supper in such a lovely wood.
Condition: excellent.
