George III Double Tea Caddy. A burl yew dome topped double tea caddy C: 1790 . The domed top has ebony and boxwood stringing with a conch shell inlay in the centre. The front mirrors the top with a conch shell in the centre edged in boxwood and ebony. The working lock has a diamond shaped escutcheon in bone. Inside the two floating lids have small bone turned knobs. The piece has a few blemishes consistent with being over two hundred years old but it is still a beautiful object.
