A very handsome Victorian extending dining table

C 1880. A very handsome Victorian extending dining table with two leaves and winding mechanism, the mechanism is by Joseph Fitter, Birmingham. The solid mahogany top has a convex moulding all round the edge. Below the top there is a frieze with half round moulding on the bottom edge. The four beautifully turned legs stand on brass cup castors.

This is a practical piece of furniture that will only increase in value. Fully extended this table will comfortably seat 10-12
