George III painted mahogany knife box: This is a beautiful mahogany painted knife box showing typical classical images surrounded by vines, flowers and foliage decoration. The top is inlaid with boxwood and ebony stringing. The front at the centre is flat with boxwood and ebony stringing with curved sections either side and pilaster columns .
This is a really lovely decorated knife box with fantastic detail on the front, sides and top and deserves to be the centre piece in a major collection.
