A bevel edged walnut box c 1860. A delightful walnut box with Tunbridge ware banding across the front and the lid. In the centre of the lid there is a diamond shaped boxwood inlay surrounded by stringing and cross banding. The bevelled edge is in ebony with boxwood diamond shaped inlays all round. Inside the lid and the box have ebonized edges and a paper lining.
